My favorite subject in school had to be math. I wish I took more advanced math; such as Calculus and Trigonometry.
For some reason I was "only given" Algebra and Geometry during my time in high school (from September 1992 to
May 1996 [school year in Massachusetts ends for most in June]).

I never took art (in high school, didn't enjoy it in the 'less important younger grades') and don't care to draw, paint, etc;
although I am probably considered "artistic."

English, definitely. And band. In college, I loved literature, geology and meteorology... although geo & met they were just basic level survey courses. And it's been so long I don't remember much!

recess. . . LOL

Band and parlimentary procedure team..

I, like several on the boards, went back to school later in life - 38 - after off and on courses now at 46, I'm 20 hours away from graduation with an Information Systems degree!

Just the principle of the thing now. Have a dream job but just want that paper . . . eventually. Spent time on the road traveling, bacme a paralegal, a real estate agent and now telecommute for a world wide company within the audit department.

In the meantime I was a single mom and raised a daugther and have my first grandchild. So, life has been anything but dull.

I did well in Math, but I always loved History, especially Medieval Times.

LOL! I was about to ask if you were going to the Texas Renaissance Festival in October, Steph. Then it hit me -- duh, you're in Jersey. :)

I've never gone. My first meeting with folks like that was, um, interesting to say the least. Ever since then, my notion of what an SCA person is like is just a bit tarnished.

Favorite HS subject

#37 Postby Dee Bee » Tue Sep 28, 2004 3:39 pm

English and Literature were my favorites when I graduated from Proviso West HS (Hillside, IL) in 1968 (Yikes!). In fact, after graduating from UICC in 1972 (Double yikes!) and NIU in 1980 (time off to make money for grad school), I've been teaching them at the middle school, high school, and now college levels ever since (Triple yikes!). :P

Biology and Geography, I also loved English Lit. Math was my worst, I was actually asked to leave the class for the term because I spent the lessons with my nose in a novel.
