If we are to see more storms this season does anyone have a guess to how many more the US will see and is LISA going to be a fish????

Lisa is a definite fish.

Any storm that forms in the Gulf or Western Caribbean has a very high probability of affecting the U.S.

I believe there will be 2-4 additional named storms (tropical storms or hurricanes) before the 2004 season concludes. As for Lisa, I don't expect her to pose a threat of U.S. landfall.

Long time, no see, man ...

What strikes me is that 1925 storm ... the last of all 2 storms in the 1925 season (HURDAT will probably find more, just like in 1890)

Also have to mention that 1935 storm, known as the "Yankee Hurricane" ... so nicknamed b/c the storm hit Miami from the NE ...

Yes, plenty of season left and November can bring landfalling hurricanes as well.. :)

Yep I remember kate in 1985 - I was in Trdent Tech that day (unfortunately had class) and I was buffeted with 50mph wind gust and heavy rains as I ran from the parking lot into the school. Was 19 at the time. If it hadn't been for my parents being home, I definitely would've skipped class that day..........

I would not be surprised to see 1 more influx of activity.. The Caribbean and GOM can produce storms this late in the season

After losing power for 8 days from Frances, and 1 day from Jeanne (thank God) I really don't want to hear anything about anymore storms. I am truely blessed to have my life and minimal property damage, but my mental health is suffering (lol). At this point I'd rather have a blizzard!!!

Well this is just great to know. NOT!!!!!!!!! We dont need any more storms. I wish a huge trough would just dive down the east central us and just sit there. And would make a fish out of anything that forms. COME ON WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!
