The only cyclone that is still active this afternoon is tropical storm Lisa located in the northern atlantic.Lisa maybe will become a hurricane just before it arrives at much cooler waters and becomes extratropical but the only threat from this system is for shipping lanes.
Elsewhere in the atlantic:
A few tropical waves are moving westward in the tropical atlantic but none have ideal conditions to develop into a tropical cyclone at this time.To note in the tropical atlantic the ITCZ is fairly active east of 40w but there are no signs of development.
In the caribbean sea a big upper trough is dominating the area and it is causing unfavorable conditions for any type of tropical development in the near future.
In the GOM there is nothing to suggest that tropical development is in the cards as a cold front has moved into the GOM and extends into the Bay of Campeche.
Tropical storm formation is not expected thru thursday.
