Big TUTT trough dominates caribbean

Dont expect tropical development in the october favored western caribbean as long the TUTT trough is sitting in the area.By only looking at the water vapor pick above you can see it easily.But once that trough goes conditions will be better for tropical development but the problem is when that trough will go so those who may want to see a little more action will have to wait.

Cycloneye, when do you think if at all that the TUTT will move out of the way to potentially allow more favorable conditions? How will this all affect GOM development IYO?

I dont have the exact timing but normally a trough like this takes a week or more to clear an area but sometimes when the trough starts to exit another upper low forms and with that another trough but that doesn't happen all the time so let's see what happens with this one that is a strong TUTT.If we see that a series of troughs dominate the caribbean and GOM one after another then it may be a sign of the season capping more early but it is too early to think about that.

Agreed, but from the looks of it if that TUTT were to lift out right now that wave would spring into action...

It would be interesting if the TUTT stayed their for the remainder of the hurricane season. That would mean that we had 12 storms in just 2 months only.

Cane season will NOT end. That is not possible, especially this year. I am 100% positive that there will be 3 more named storms.

I saw that Rainstorm. Not sure if that or the SW Caribbean wave has more potential... (Probably the wave)

Sorry, as an amature, I keep reading that as a big butt trough. Whatever it is, hope it hangs around a while. We've seen enough action in Florida.
