11 AM AST WED SEP 29 2004

...LISA NEAR HURRICANE STRENGTH...

AT 11 AM AST...1500Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM LISA WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 29.7 NORTH...LONGITUDE 45.8 WEST OR ABOUT 1220
MILES...1960 KM...WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE AZORES.

LISA IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH NEAR 12 MPH ...19 KM/HR. A GRADUAL
TURN TO THE NORTHWEST IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 70 MPH...110 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. LISA HAS A CHANCE TO BECOME A HURRICANE LATER TODAY OR
TOMORROW.

TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 200 MILES
...325 KM FROM THE CENTER.

ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 990 MB...29.23 INCHES.

REPEATING THE 11 AM AST POSITION...29.7 N... 45.8 W. MOVEMENT
TOWARD...NORTH NEAR 12 MPH. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS... 70 MPH.
MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE... 990 MB.

The turn to the NW was expected, it's going to turn NE and then ENE and be a distant memory in a few days.

I would like lisa to become a Hurricane just for the heck of it. Nots like it is going to effect anyone.

:eek: I like the look of the 11am track. A bit further north would make me very happy. :D It would be good to see Lisa become a hurricane and add it to the list of ex-hurricanes we have had this year. :lol:
