I was going to post something saying the same thing. It is so exciting to be able to finally relax after having to constantly monitor all of those hurricanes.

I dont think if I had been hit by a couple majors I would want any more storms to form in the Ocean for a long long time. Thats just me now. :)

LOL... I know. I don't have headaches, legs that are killing me, and I'm not about to fall asleep. I had gotten used to it.

Yeah, I had too. Its nothing like getting 30 minutes of sleep before you have to go to school even though it should have been canceled with the power out almost county round and all. Ahhh that was the life. NOT!!!!!!

Yeah Frances was an inconveniance to me, since power was out for a long time, but Jeanne was actually pretty exciting, and we got power back the next day. Its just fun having such a phenomenon coming at you. Plus, school is out.

But it is an addiction. I find myself jumping on the internet and looking at the weather every time I see an ominous-looking cloud on the horizon...

I could use a 1 week break and then I would be ready to handle another wave of tropical activity.

The break is nice, I'll admit. The past couple nights I've re-discovered the pleasure of un-interrupted sleep (no jumping out of bed every 3 hrs to check latest advisories, model data, satellite after the eclipse, etc)....finally interested in football (Falcons are 3-0 whoo-hoo!!). I've been so engrossed in tracking hurricanes, I only learned (sadly I might add) yesterday that one of my favorite singers (Laura Branigan) passed away a few weeks ago (in sad irony, she died from a brain aneurism..same thing that ended my mom's life in 77' :(

As I said...this break is really nice...and well needed. Of course, as is inevitable with all storm enthusiasts, a nice, calm break will probably become extreme boredom in a few weeks unless something else develops....a major storm of some type, somewhere.

In fact, unless there's a major storm before November 1st, I'll probably go bonkers from boredom.....so is anyone else ready for a record breaking, early season southern snowstorm? ;) :D

I'm bored. The tropics board is still busy because we're waiting for something interesting to happen.
