Hello I am back

#1 Postby farmwx » Wed Sep 29, 2004 8:22 pm

My electricity just came on this afternoon after being off since Sunday morning at 7am. I pretty much lost $3-400 in groceries and other stuff. My home suffered no damage, but the apartment complex I live in did. This hurricane took care of everthing the last two did not. Polk County was devastated by this one to say the least.. Whole business crumbled, streets flooded or marked by sinkholes. It is just amazing and unbelievable...

Yoda, everything is well, but when you see your living room glass bow and your apartment crack (wood) because of the intense wind, what are you suppose to do. I just looked at my wife and prayed it stayed on..

Welcome back farmwx. Are you located very near the path Charley, France and Jeanne crossed?

Welcome back, farmwx. Polk County was hit harder than most FL counties this year. I think you even suffered high winds from Ivan, too (?)

Join the rest of the FL zombies -- bodies here, minds gone -- but we WILL spring back.

Take care of yourself,

Coldfront, I live on the border of lakeland and mulberry, and yes we are the crosshairs of charlie, frances and jeanne. I saw the eye on frances and jeanne. It was unbelievable the calm before and after the eye passes.

Welcome back! I think we are all surprised how fast we got the power back. A quite nice surprise!
