The dow is soaring on good war news
Monday is seeing a big upturn in the dow jones and the other components as the news of the war is very good today and investors see that war may end very soon.At the same time oil is going down for the same reason.

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - U.S. stocks rallied strongly Monday, boosted by optimism about what looked like the nearing end of the war with Iraq.
Around 11:30 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones industrial average (up 178.71 to 8455.86, Charts), the S&P 500 index (up 18.32 to 897.17, Charts), and the Nasdaq composite (up 35.37 to 1418.88, Charts) all logged gains of more than 2 percent.

We like when stocks are up. I received some stock as a gift in August of 2001.They haven't been at that price level since.

Well after all the dow only rose 23 points as selling came at the last half hour of the session.

The Dow Jones Industrial average was sure having a good day during the early afternoon. I saw it up 170 points at 2:05 PM EDT.
It looks like an interesting day with days sharp rise during the first half of the day and as Luis said that news from Iraq last night, we may see quite a rise tomorrow.
