No way. Gaston was a run of the mill tropical storm. Allison was the same damage as if a category 3 hit the Outer Banks... 5 billion dollars.

Only Ivan and Jeanne. Charley and Frances were bad storms, especially Charley, but I don't think they rise to the level of retiring their names.

Mascpa, Charley has caused over 10 billion dollars in damage. I severely think he should be retired. Frances also had lots of media attention, and while it wasn't incredibly strong when it hit, it caused a lot of damage. The 4 biggies, no more, no less (unless something else forms this season).

Allison was in a class all by herself.. That storm may actually be the most talked about storm in history later..

Only a minimal TS and it dropped all that rain
