None of those names are really threatening to me, except Bret.

Gert is short for Gertrude, my aunts name, little woman with a powerful punch. This name gives me the creeps.

It's so ironic. Out of the 2004 names, I never would have guessed Charley would be a destructive Category 4.

Why?

As embarrassing as it is to say, Charley didn't seem like that threatening of a name to me. Boy was I wrong!

Oh My God!! If we have a Stan next year, that would be the 18th named storm, yikes! I agree, thinking of a Stan next year gives me bad vibes too.

Well, scary thing is...in my hypothetical forecast... I had Charley hitting the US Gulf Coast as a category 4 with 150 mph winds.... although it was Texas/Mexico border... that was freaky. Also, although not Ivan, but Karl, nevertheless I had a dangerous hurricane hitting Gulf Shores, AL... I will look back at it when the season is over, and write my hypothetical for 2005...

I don't really have a hypothetical forecast yet for 2005, but Gert and Jose give me the creeps somewhat.

I dunno, I get a vibe that next year will be much better though. But if it's more active than I think, Nate could be the late-season storm.

For me it's Wilma. If we get to that one we'll all be ready for a nervous breakdown.

There's Lee and Harvey. Good thing there's not also an Oswald.

Thought this thread would be kind of interesting, to maybe lighten the tension a bit. Several people did mention Dennis.
