Believe it. I'm not sure what you're laughing at but Orlando actually had winds during Charley sustained at 77 and gusting to 105. I know it may be hard for you to believe that some 100 miles inland we could get that much, frankly all of Orlando was caught by surprise, but believe me ,sitting in my hallway listening to all the things crashing around outside and then seeing all the damage that was grossly under-reported in the state and national media, (probably due to the Chamber of Commerce and Disney) I believed it! I guess maybe Miami is feeling a little left out.

I have to drive by and see that sign not to far from it also i live in west orlando and weatherstation top wind gust 69 during Jeanne but i swear there was a couple of wind gusts that sounded a lot louder than that. Also we had FEMA come by yesterday and today and they told us that even in are area it was bad he said it was one of the worst disasters they heard of and he also told me that my neighbor had 15 inches of in his house.

Orlando International recorded a gust of 78 mph during Jeanne. It was 69 during Frances.
