4 Year Milestone for me! Plus special thanks.

#1 Postby therock1811 » Fri Oct 01, 2004 5:02 pm

It was 4 years ago today that I, with the help of my God, cheated death for the first time. On this date in 2000, I was in church when I became severely ill. I began to have difficulty breathing, and my mother rushed me to a local medical facility. There, I "coded" (GD knows what that means, huh Shawn?) for 10 minutes. Doctors were able to revive me and that was the beginning of a full recovery from septic shock taking a month, not counting a complication in November that same year. That said, I hope that this never happens again, but if it somehow does, I know storm2k'ers would be on my side. Thanks for over 1 year of friendship! Here's to many more! :)

Wow!
That's amazing and wonderful to hear.
My prayers are with you and here's my acknowledgement of your faith being so powerful and miraculous in your life.

We have gone through some rough times with you Jeremy. And you have gone through some rough times with us. It is wonderful to have friends of faith, friends we know we can always count on. You are one of those to me and to many on this site. Here is praying for many many more years of life together!!

Jeremy, I had never heard that story of you before. I know I have not been on this site long, but I have had quite a few conversations with you. I hope this can continue on, and hopefully not to many "rough" times occur.

I too hope your rough spots are in the past Jeremy. That day 4 years ago must have been so frightening. And now here you are. What I admire most about you is your fighting spirit! I know you've weathered a lot my friend - pun intended - but please know that we weather them with you!

Thanks guys! Yes that was a scary day. I didn't know what the heck was going on. I learned about the fact that I had gone into cardiac arrest after it was all over. At times during my 2 week recovery, I didn't know where I was. I do hope that that doesn't happen again. I don't know how many times I've had to weather the storms of life. But over the last year every time I had to, you guys were there. And I consider it a privilege to have such friends. Thank you.
