I really like this NOAA historical storm tracker. You can query by location, zip code, storm name, etc. You may have to turn on Active Scripting in IE, but directions are given. Also, you may want to restrict your query to big storms only since this tracker even shows trop disturbances!

http://hurricane.csc.noaa.gov/hurricanes/

Click "Query Storm Tracks" on left menu

Then "Query Storm Tracks" again when the viewer comes up.
