A bomb threat forced several people out of a local mall Sunday evening.
Police say an anonymous person called 911 at 5:18 p.m. claiming that a device was set to go off in Tower Place Mall in 10 minutes. The mall had closed at 5 p.m., however, there were people still inside the building. They were advised to evacuate the area. Cincinnati Police, Cincinnati Fire and Hazmat crews responded to the scene. Officials did not find a bomb, but detected residue in the valet parking area. They determined the residue was from a fire extinguisher.
Cincinnati Police said they followed procedure and everything went as planned.

For those that don't know, this mall is in the tallest building in downtown Cincinnati, the Carew Tower. I've been there a lot, in fact every time I get a chance I go there, and it's a good place to shop.

Jeremy - that is a good point to make, the actual building this mall is located in - our tallest. If you wanted to blow up a city's tallest building, this would be it. I was however surprised to learn the mall was still open on a Sunday at this time. You'd think it would be closed! Glad they didn't find a bomb.
