I have always been a writer.I am currently working on a Book and Screenplay.
Stormchasing & Photography aside,I love thrills and speed.Snowskiiing the High Sierra,'DownHill DJ"!...and Aircraft to SCCA/PCA Porsche Racing at Laguna Seca and Sear's Point,Calif. 4.8sec 0-60 and top end 163.1 mph. with a 3.3 Litre Six Intercooled Turbo..375HP.
However.I am a man of restoration and architecture..I have restored over 50 classic euro Cabriolets from MGs to Pininfarina(Italian) to Jaguar.I have shown them at the Concours d' Elegance at Carmel/Pebble Beach and Blackhawk,Calif.Boats as well,
classic Mahoganey Chris-Crafts from the 30s and 40s.Pojo is in the Cradle of the Classic Runabouts in Wisconsin and Michigan.I have shown them at the Concours d' Elegance at Lake Tahoe,Calif/NV at Emerald Bay.
I also restored a 1929 53' Sloop...Mahagoney and Teak and sailed her from Oakland to La Paz,Mexico using a restored Sextant.

Streetsolider - you have alot of history from your experiences. I know I like reading your posts whatever it might be...I love history and the general knowledge of learning. I feel you are never to old to learn.

Azskyman - I love this thread - Just reading all the different things our members have done make this a truely special group.

Wow, you guys are really cool!

I can relate to coriolis about checking and re-checking the alarm clock. I'm worse when it comes to packing for a trip. My husband is usually beeping outside, while I'm doing my 3rd final walkthrough. Guess you could say I'm a little on the OCD side ("anal" according to him). I'm one of those weirdos who will only eat one thing at a time on my plate. One time my husband tried mixing up my food as a joke and nearly pulled back a stump for a hand. :lol:

I am not sure what most people don't know about me. I enjoy being online frequently, which you can see. :lol:

I have been interested in meteorology since I was about 10, thinking I would be a meteorologist some day, but that isn't going to happen. I enjoy corresponding with people online, not so much in person... I am hoping that it will get easier interacting with people online, like I have been doing every from my home since March 1999.

What a fantastic thread so good to hear about everyones interests and talents.

Most people dont know.. before I had my son I did photographic modelling. I still do 3-4 hours of classical ballet sometimes 5 days a week. I have many speech and drama awards from the dramatics society of South Africa and sang on a cruise ship.

I collect swords (as some of you know) and I am teaching my 3 1\2 year old son to read and write, which is the most rewarding thing I have ever done.

Tom... the reason I know you are getting good at it is because of last hurricane season. You kept us all at TWC (tropics thread) well informed and was pretty accurate in the forecasting of them. Especially the one that curved down in the Yucatan and then jetted towards the LA/MS Coast. Remember? That is pretty good IMO. :wink:

Yeah, I do ... one of my ex-girlfriends absolutely loved that song "Fly To The Angels" ... and she ended up driving me nuts with that song.

I also remember an underground band also called "Slaughter" before the aforementioned one above came out. The underground band played very heavy thrash metal.

During the late 80's, I listened mostly to Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and the speed/thrash metal acts of that time...

I am still a Crue fan too. Smack will be at the CPR Fest we have here in about two weeks in Biloxi MS. It is promoted by a local radio station WCPR. About 13 bands total with Smack headlining.

Dokken had some great songs ... "Dream Warriors" for the Nightmare on Elm Street 3 soundtrack ... I've crossed paths with George Lynch (with Lynch Mob) and unfortunately, the person he talked with (who was a big fan of his) was very conceited and that person told me he was the biggest @$$ he'd ever met ...

I wasn't a real big fan of Mötley Crüe, but always appreciated Tommy Lee's ability as a drummer.

Truthfully, I wasn't a real big fan of the "Hair Bands".

*LOL* - Awwwww, come'on...Really I think you'll enjoy the show ... Metallica's forté is performing live ... they are a great live act...

The First Rock Concert when the North Charleston Coliseum opened several years back was Metallica, and it was a blistering 4 hour show!!!

..once portrayed both "Dr. Frank N. Furter" (80 performances) and "Riff-Raff" (40 performances) in the on-stage cast at the Varsity Theatre, off Washington University (St. Louis) campus during showings of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" while in college...

"I see you shiver...with antici..............PA-tion!" :o

And, I can still "do" the voices, sing all the parts, and recite the entire movie, verbatim.
