Must See TV

#1 Postby rainydaze » Sun Oct 03, 2004 9:37 pm

What shows do you HAVE to watch? Here's my answer...

Reality shows I HAVE to watch:

1)Survivor---the original
2)American Idol.....these poeple are funny!
3)The Amazing Race (although I missed it this summer)
4)Wife Swap/Trading Spouses......better than I thought.
5)Fear Factor.....my kids & husband make me watch.

Regular shows I HAVE to watch:

1)Everybody loves Raymond.....dysfunction at it's best
2)Scrubs....funny and heartwarming
3)Lost---newest addition....really interesting.
4)Malcolm In the Middle....hillarious
5)Arrested Development....waiting patiently for the new season.

I'm just telling you the shows I really have to watch

1) CSI: Miami (this is a MUST SEE!)
2) ER (show was better when the original cast was on, but these new kids have intersting story plots)
3) Survivor: Vanuatu (watch it for a indepth conversation at work on Friday)
4) Everybody Loves Raymond (way to much like my step dad's side of the family)
5) That 70's Show (Wisconsin Hilarity... you have to live here to understand it)

I was just thinking about this the other day. Contemplating returning to the work force and I wondered what shows I 'had' to see each week, if so. My list used to be topped by Friends (sniff, sniff).....

1. Joey (that Friends' loyalty thing)
2. Two and a Half Men (my favorite show from last season, hilarious!)
3. That 70s Show (accurrate assessment of my era!)
4. ER (still watch, this used to be #2 behind Friends)

Lower on the list...

5. Survivor
6. 8 Simple Rules
7. Wifeswap
8. Raymond (since the plot is new this year, it's interesting)

Should there be any question by now?

ER
Third Watch
Law & Order: SVU

Okay, okay...I confess. I also tune in and watch a certain Monday night show on Showtime.

CM -- I cry everytime I see Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. :)

Tonight on CSI: Miami they'll feature the new guy that replaces Rory Cochrane (Tim "Speed" Speedle). 8-)

You are TOO funny. My 16 year old thinks she is the hottest thing around. It's one of the only times my husband will actually sit still for an entire 30 minutes.

I like the 30 Minutes or Less show too. Lots of great ideas!

Stormie -- "Clean House" is another home makeover show. Could that be it! I don't always watch it...since it reruns so much I don't have to worry about missing one. But it's definitely gotta-see-tv. :)

OMG, it hurts!!! Make it stop! I cant stop laughing.

If I were an insecure person, I could learn to dislike her as much as I HATED Dana Delaney and Marg Helgenberger back in the day of China Beach.....

Glad I could help. Love to make people laugh. :)

Although I seriously doubt there's anyway I could possibly be one of your ex-husbands.

In spring 2003, filmmaker James Miller and reporter Saira Shah, following the success of their Peabody-winning films "Unholy War" and "Beneath the Veil," set out to take a first-hand look at the culture of hate that permeates the Middle East. They captured the lives of three Palestinian children growing up in the bullet-riddled streets of Gaza, indoctrinated in the creed of Jihad, and had planned to show the Israeli side next. But on May 2, in the midst of filming, Miller was shot to death by an Israeli tank, falling victim to the conflict he covered. The America Undercover special DEATH IN GAZA tells this tragic, eye-opening story.

It doesnt look like they are showing it anymore, but I know the film won several international awards, so Im sure a recorded version can be found somewhere.... its well worth the hunt IMO.

I've seen a couple of HBO things before that were done pretty well. I hope this isnt slanted against the Israelis. It would be harder for me to watch...
