Looks like we have a TD....

It REALLY looks like we have a tropical depression in the Atlantic.

Hey Floyd...

All I'm referring to is the wind analysis you posted is showing anti-cyclonic flow aloft...which is a favorable situation for a tropical wave to be in...but it does not indicate what is going on at the surface (I'm assuming that's CIMMS upper analysis).

You'll need to look at QUIKSCAT to see if there is anything going at the surface...and the barbs will need to point in the exact opposite direction to indicate cyclonic flow at the surface. Right now with no discernable deep convection and or convective banding features...I would have to disagree that this looks anything like a TD at the present time.

That time of year we are grasping. It is a tropical wave although. Will it be strong enough to slip under the tutt.?

Hey Floydbuster.. do you only use that map to show shear? Or would you use the map I did? (the one in the link I posted)
