GOM area looks better organized
The system in the gulf looks better org. Look at the latest IR Looks like a broad cir. forming. Any comments?

There really isn't that much shear at all in the southern Gulf. The strongest of the westerlies are right along the US coast, and upper winds are light further south, where the ridge is holding more influence. It's the "stuff" in the Bay of Campeche that needs to be watched for now. This is the deepest convection I have seen in days, which may mean conditions have improved enough for this to go ahead and start a slow development into a surface low.

I say there is a decent chance
we will get at least a TD out this
LARGE mess. It reminds me alot of
Hurricane Juan (I'm not saying that
it will become a hurricane).

If it sits and spins down in the extreme southern GOM long enough then what you say may in fact happen.
