Gaston and Hermine maybe good buddies together while merging over Long Island and into New England. I really have a feeling that coastal sections of Long Island and into New England will see sustained winds of 40-50 mph with gusts of 60-65 mph. Rainfall totals could also be significant with 4-8" a possibility. With a cold front, Gaston's remnants, and Hermine combining, it could get interesting for Long Island and new England Monday night into Tuesday.

i wish in winter, they would name snowstorms too. Then it would make things so much more interesting and help us get through winter with a bigger smile.

CREEDON NOREASTER INTENSITY SCALE

EXTRATROPICAL DEPRESSION: 0-35 MPH.
EXTRATROPICAL STORM: 36-45 MPH.
CATEGORY 1: 46-57 MPH.

on my weather maps an extratropical depression is marked EL. a storm is a hollowed out comma, and a noreaster is a full comma.

HalloweenGale...

I highly suggest you stop before you dig yourself into a very very deep hole.

Certain people on the boards do not take kindly to people posting warnings/"creating" storms/"naming" systems that are not named, etc. as some people think that you are an authority in the matter when in reality you are just an amateur.

It's not your fault......but there have been previous people on these boards that got big heads when they did this and were eventually banned. Save yourself before you shoot yourself. :)
