Its really hard to say for sure where the true center of the system is moving(if it really has one). The IR just shows the movement of the upper level clouds but not the surface circulation. The visible would be better but if I had to judge by the IR, I would say NNE.

Actually, it's still barely moving North ... wind shear blew some of the thunderstorms off to the NE ... one outflow boundary blew off the Yucatan Peninsula with a squall line of thunderstorms coming off the land into the BOC ... another arc cloud/outflow boundary is pushing NNW/NW on the northern/northwestern end of the deeper convection as well ...

Again, a chaotic mess ...

It's moving NORTH. Watch out west Louisiana. I hope this thing turns west and hits Mexico. It sure as heck had better not turn east and hit FL!!! Stay the heck away from the Sunshine State!!

Almost looks to be moving too fast to get too strong. Though I do think I see a frenzied LLC which is a sign of potential strength...

Definitely looks like a nne turn will commence with this. Heavy rain event for the northwest gulf coast it seems likely.
