NHC 10am BOC system slightly better organized

#1 Postby Stormcenter » Thu Oct 07, 2004 10:03 am

Tropical Weather Outlook

Statement as of 11:30 am EDT on October 7, 2004

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...
Cloudiness and showers over the western Gulf of Mexico are
associated with a broad area of low pressure. This system has
become slightly better organized this morning...and there is some
potential for additional development over the next day or two.
Even if this system does not develop further...it is expected to
produce locally heavy rains and strong gusty winds over portions of
the northwestern and northern Gulf Coast as it moves northward to
northeastward during the next couple of days.

I really need my blue roof. I've applied and am still waiting. I honestly believe my ceiling will fall in if it gets wet again.

In it's defense I've seen worse classified hurricanes,.
The center looks broard but it is at least still distinguishable. I would say at best it's a TD but no more. I still think it's got a
remote chance at being a weak TS as it moves northward.
Anyway, the MAIN threat from this will be rain so that should be
the focus and not the winds.
