Any good recommendations on movies to rent off of Video on Demand on Digital Cable or some particularly good programs on television tonight?? I'm going to get cozy for this heavy rain event and stay in the house on this Saturday night for this depression. BTW---it looks like a small tropical storm right now.... http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT ... -loop.html

If you hit that Morgan City landfall, you did a good job Sean. I was pretty convinced the system might clip or stay just south of lower Plaquemines Parish (toe of LA for all you not from here, Boothville/Venice/etc.).

Looks like the convection is firing up. Seems the last couple of days have shown a flareup in the afternoon and then a serious cooling of the cloudtops in the overnight [tm TWC]. I'd guess it's 50/50 we'll hit that rainshield, but I've got plenty more beer either way. Take care in the city.

I agree -- I think I'll get a pot roast and cook it slowly for hours on Sunday. The house will smell so good and with all the rain it will be a very relaxing Sunday.

Hey DH - if that's the case, that would be about the distance to put us right in the squalls...

Well I sure hope so. I drove around the city today and outside of the rain we've had for the last 24 hours plus, there's only a little ponding and a few small limbs down. If I have to rake my lawn tomorrow after the Saints take care of business, at least let me fill a bag :)
