I'm an enthusiastic Bicyclist but wish I had more time to get out. In the past I rode numerous centuries (100 mile rides). I ride a classic 18-year-old road racing bike and I still slow it down more than it slows me down.
I mentioned it before.... My wife and I have 3 pit bulls which are really big babies if you raise them with love and caring.

I'm taking notes..
I'm taking notes on all of these talents and all of this history! You all have so many things to be proud of....to feel good about...to share as well.
Most people don't know I have been a trained Wish Granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation....helping kids with life-threatening illnesses and their families make a dream come true. Shopping trips, vacations to Disney World, even a chance to meet a favorite baseball player! Those were some of the dreams I helped to make come true.

Thank you Linda. I appreciate it. It didn't seem like too many people were happy about my posts during those weeks. My ideas on where that hurricane was going to go seemed inaccurate to most on the TWCMBs. It did end up going a bit further eastward than was originally thought.
I know I was being repeative about a meteorological factor, but all factors are repeated from time to time to indicate a variety of different things in meteorology.
Thanks again, Linda.

It was April 17th last year. It was a truly AWESOME ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE!!! I would do it in a flash again if given the chance. I was part of a 150 person choir and we performed Schubert's Mass in G entirely in Latin.

Dennis....my congratulations to you...
This is the most fascinating thread I've ever read....awesome!!
Jacki- I wish you the best of luck. My dad was once a gospel singer (also played the bass guitar) and has a great voice; my baby sis won her high school talent show both as a sophomore and a junior...she has a beautiful voice. I scare myself my voice is so bad
wx247- I love bluegrass music, even more than C&W. I could listen to songs like Orange Blossom Special and Rockytop all day long....I especially enjoy banjo pickin
I knew vbhoutex has sung at Carnegie Hall, and that ticka1 loved drag racing..
As for me...hmmmm? Well, I was once a drummer with both a contemporary Christian and a pop/soft rock band. I was on quite a few Atlanta area religious tv and radio broadcasts playing the drums back in the 1970's.
I also love cats better than dogs...but owned a wonderful pet collie as a child that I still miss
...she looked just like Lassie.
My cousin (Doug Worthan) is the longtime Security Director for the Atlanta Falcons NFL franchise.
I'm singer Alan Jackson's 8th cousin...honest. Even wilder, his wife's parents live right up the street from my dad in Newnan, GA
I am a map freak. I buy maps like my sister does shoes...I have a closet full of maps

..once portrayed both "Dr. Frank N. Furter" (80 performances) and "Riff-Raff" (40 performances) in the on-stage cast at the Varsity Theatre, off Washington University (St. Louis) campus during showings of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" while in college...
"I see you shiver...with antici..............PA-tion!" :o
And, I can still "do" the voices, sing all the parts, and recite the entire movie, verbatim.
I'm one of the few that do know that and I can testify-I thought I was hearing Dr. Frank N. Furter when he did it!!! :o And I did shiver!!
