Man Comes Out Of Coma, Immediately Arrested

RENO, Nev. -- Richard Martin, of Reno, came out of a coma last week -- and was promptly arrested by police.
He is accused of deliberately crashing his car last July 30 in an attempt to kill his wife. She survived with non-life-threatening injuries, but Martin's injuries left him in a coma.
Martin is accused of confronting his wife outside a Reno Wal-Mart where she worked and pushing her inside his car. He then allegedly drove at speeds of more than 100 mph before driving off the edge of an interstate exit ramp, causing the car to go airborne.
Once he regained consciousness, Martin was charged with attempted murder and second-degree kidnapping. He's being held at the Washoe County Jail in lieu of $95,000 bail.
