Twist over Yucatan

yeah, I was watching that area last night. Can't really tell which direction it's moving if any but it should get shunted off NE later in the week if it would it try to get It's act together. Nothing else for us GOM watchers after the big fronts start coming down

Yep, one more front and the GOM is pretty much done for the year.

Yes, the area near Yucatan/BOC is what the models GFS/UKMET are picking up on to develop and head NE ahead of the front. Whether there will be any significant development is the question.

Been watching that persisting flare.

It is a small offshoot of the Mexican ITCZ that floated into Yucatan in the small pocket of favorability at the tail end node of the front Matthew spurred.

A quick look says it will fade after touching the area stirred up by Matthew...
