Yet another example of how Hollywood takes liberties with science -- weather, astronomy, geology, you name it. It was good for the entertainment value and visual effects. Just don't read much into the technical defects.

I saw this movie when it came out and was very disapointed. I would say most of it was more fiction then fact. Cindy

I like sci-fi, but this is garbage.
It gives people the idea that this could happen.
The average movie-goer doesn't distinguish between earth-bound sci-fi and real science.
They don't know that sci-fi doesn't have to be "in space".

(adds fuel to environmentalist wacko arguments, and it doesn't help that TWC is promoting it!!!)

This film was one of the funniest films of the past year; as well as one of the more nauseating. Ranks up there with Kerry's autobiography and Moore's Fahrenheit 911. Probably selling like Jerry lewis' dvds in France

Just got back from Blockbuster. Got a copy to my surprise. They had 3 on the shelf out of about 25. :)
