A flare-up has occurred north of Panama.

We'll see if it sticks. This is the prime formation pocket at this time of the season...

On closer inspection it doesn't seem to be attached to any surface feature. Should blow-off with the EPAC ITCZ flow...

The only chance this has of forming anything is if it lingers and lets the front pass. Even so it will probably go northeast towards the Atlantic. But I doubt it...

Probably deserves a new topic - but still won't form...
