Is 97L getting better organized?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Is 97L getting better organized?

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Wed Oct 13, 2004 7:15 pm

Convection has started to consolidate more near the center of circulation. This may be the last time 97L may try to organize since in the next few days it will move northward.

Convection is not consolidated around the low but at the east side and the window for the low to turn into a subtropical system is closing.Unless it trasition rapidly to subtropical I dont see it becoming the 15th named system of the season.

Looks like it may briefly attain subtropical status today...but if it moves north it will quickly revert to extra- tropical status. Nothing to worry about in the tropics now.

Yesterday 97L tried to became subtropical but today the convection has deteriorated, and is not increading but decreasing.
