Yep, the very little bit of snow we got here is gone already! I think I am going to head off to bed early, being stuck in the house is tiring! G'night all!

Good evening everyone. Was a good day at work, worked from 10:30 AM to 2 PM. I got trained on the phones and then I was pretty much on my own the rest of the shift. It was an easy day too.

I also had a doctor's appointment today. Found out my potassium is slightly low. :( Hope the increase in my potassium supplement pill takes care of that! ;) Everything else checked out fine.

It was HOT as HECK here today! :o The high was 91.7 degrees. :o It was 87 when I got home from work. It is still 70 out. Feels like it's 78 or so in here. (my bedroom that is)

That's the news from here today. C y'all L8R! Joshua

Bananas are high-potassium, Josh - kiwi is even higher!
Get that potassium back up - if it goes too low, it can
make your heart rhythm do the flip-flops!

Nitey-nite, Jacki-StormCrazyIowan-IdidntGetNoSnow!

All I can really say with the Physical Exams is don't count your chickens before they hatch!

I have arch inserts due to my moderate to high arches and that throws up a red flag for all Medical personnel!  Although it is an asystemic reasoning behind the logic, I really don't understand why they DQ'ed me for that.  (Its only a temporary DQ...til the paperwork come back to ok my entrance.....the temporary label is great news...at least its not permament!) I've already been passed through waivers once because of the inserts and how I have to go through them again (just the paper work...not me!) When the doc looked at the X-rays of my feet, he noticed an extra bone in each foot (I have two ankle bones, but in reality, I'm supposed to have one) The extra bone is 1" southwest of the ankle bone. I don't remember off hand the technical name for the extra bone (I'm not really into that medical jargen!) Other than that minor (non DQ problem) all other foot exams were passed. :D :D

As for my scoliosis...its only a 1° to 2° curvature, which means a slight problem...again nothing to set me back (I don't have any pain associated with it, so the doc said don't worry about it.) Back exam was then passed. :D :D

I do have allergic reactions to sulfa (which is in almost every kind of Rx meds!) and sometimes I do have bad reactions because of it...the doc wants me to return to Milwaukee next Tuesday for a PRT (Asthma) test due to the possible association of a wheezing reaction from the sulfa...hopefully, this will not be another setback.

I have yet to talk to my recruiter...I had to drive straight from Milwaukee to Green Bay for work! I'll talk to him tomorrow about the situation down at MEPS.

But other than that...all sections passed! :D

My drive down to MKE was interesting! Green Bay was cloudy with no precip and once I drove into Manitowoc County, then I hit the snow! White out conditions at times!!! :o :o On my way back from MKE, I did notice the portion of I43 where the major fog pile-up happened last October. Many crosses line the southbound lane of I43. (I couldn't see them last night due to the darkness.

Brrr its cold here on the front porch - I am going to run inside and warm up by the heater - was a chilly 39 degrees at my house this morning for about 15 mins - now hovering around 41 degrees. Winter won't let go thats for sure. But its going to be a bright sunny day - too bad I'll be here a work in this cubicle. LOL.

Good news from the Middle East - I have cautious optimism here on the MIGHTY COALITION FORCES.

Good afternoon everyone! Tempratures in the mid 80s today, cold front just about through the peninsula. Humidity (dewpoint values) are a bit lower than they were yesterday. It has been a breezy day today, but no rain.

There was some rain last night that developed over my area ahead of the large area of activity in the eastern Gulf of Mexico.

Hey Garrett! :D

Yes, folks down this way and in SC may have to put together plans for an Ark SOON!  This IS about as MUCH rain as I've seen here in quite a while with these low pressure ripples moving on through! :)

It'll be a boon for our water table though this summer.

Eric, nice to hear the good news about your niece. Hopefully she continues to improve. :)

The current temperature here is 59 degrees. It is a breezy night, could be worse, but usually not much wind here in central Florida. A Wind Advisory is possible later today.

Yep, winter is back, at least in Southeast Texas. We will be in the upper 30's again this morning. that is right at 20º below normal for us. I've been in Houston for 31 years and I can count on one hand temps in the 30's during April! Definitely wierd weather we're having this year. I wonder what it bodes for the Hurricane season? :?:

Just wanted to drop by and say Hello to everyone. I'm grabbing a cup of that hot chocolate and going looking for the Pot Belly Stove to warm up. It's too cold on the porch!! Currently 45ºf with a 39ºf dewpoint. Tomorrow promises to be a GORGEOUS day here in Houston! High of 74ºf without a cloud in the sky!!

Night all!!

I have to go to the dentist this morning and I will be leaving for the weekend later today. Ya'll behave while I am gone, and please...don't too many people pass me in the posting ranks. ;)

Good morning...

#380 Postby azskyman » Thu Apr 10, 2003 7:36 am

Well, indeed that is good news Eric. Thanks for letting us know.

Gearing up for a warm Thursday here...perhaps 91 this afternoon. 63 at daybreak. Maybe some rain for us by late in the weekend or on Monday. Nothing wrong with that before the true heat and dry season gets here.

We'll have afternoon relative humidities in the 5-10% range with temps in the 100's within the next couple of weeks and lasting right on into the arrival of monsoons sometime in July or August....that is, of course, unless we have a "non-soon" season like last year.

Have a great day everyone.
