OK!!WHO STOLE FALL??

#1 Postby vbhoutex » Mon Oct 18, 2004 9:00 am

:grrr: :grrr: :grrr: We had moved into a nice comfortable fall pattern, or so I thought last week. Temps were in the 50's to low 80's and getting an occasional shower or so.

Now the predictions are for low 90's for the week with lows in the 70's!!! :grr: :grr: :grr:

FESS UP!!! WHO STOLE FALL????? :grr: :grr: :grr:

We didn't steal it over here. We're looking at highs in the mid 80's by the end of the week. Tomorrow looks like it's shaping up to be more like spring than fall what with all the predicted thunderstorms and stuff.

Ok, so I'm the guilty party. I admit, I stole fall. LOL :D

As as long as the trough in the means stays out west, the ridge gets pumped downstream and will help to keep things warm over the Midwest and eastern US. Although pay attention to the NAO which is about to tank (see 12z ECMWF) it should prevent the ridge from getting especially strong.

Some of the drier air over West Texas has been carried in the strong Jet Stream that is setting over the Northern And Central Gulf Of Mexico. Helping keep the Tropical Systems at bay

I don't like what I have. I got 52° and foggy/cloudy here. You want it, you can have it. I'd rather have 20s and snow or 80s and sun before this slop. Not quite what I like this time of year.
