It really looks like its time for the ole stove now....snow is in the forecast for Big Bear Mountain starting tomorrow! Expecting 4-8 inches and we are going up the mountain to witness the first snowfall of the season! Time for a snow angel :).

Down here in the valley, our lows for the end of the week are in the low to mid 40's...brrrrr this is Southern California! We're supposed to be at the beach! :O)

My friend from FL flies in to Vegas on Thursday, so we'll be busy entertaining throughout the weekend! Have a good one ya'll...stay warm! Buy flannel jammies! )I have some with feet in them! ) :O)

we need the stove going here... rather chilly. I had to put an extra fleece blanket on my bed... (my bedroom is always really cold.... hence the additional blanket.

The other Shannon.... stay warm and don't freeze or float away (depending on where you are) We are going to get slammed on Friday/Saturday with this storm... however, not as strong as what you guys have now.

Well, I am still on the porch and will be for at least another week it seems. Our "cool down" is due this weekend when the highs will only be in the upper 80's. :grr: Normal for this time of year is 81º. Some nice raspberry iced tea would go great with those chocolate covered KK's(if they ever show up-HINT HINT!!! :D :D Karan where are you?)

To all of my porchian and stovian friends I want to say one thing that is political. VOTE, NO MATTER WHAT YOUR PREFERENCES ARE VOTE and be informed when you vote. IT IS YOUR RIGHT(THANK YOU TO OUR MILITARY OVER THE LAST 2 CENTURIES)AND YOUR DUTY!!!! Ok, down of soapbox.

Bet you can't tell tropics are winding down-I'm back.

I already sent in my absentee vote David! Yes, I agree it is very important to get out there and vote for what you want this year.

California is going nuts over this storm...its amazing...buildings have collapsed, mudslides, flooding everywhere...I guess being in a valley is dangerous when it does rain here. I was laughing at the news lastnight, seeing so many people sandbagging at their homes, but when I woke up today I noticed water is almost coming through my sliding glass doors in the backyard...its really flooded out there and the rain is not letting up! Crazy days here in So Ca.

Tonight is when we are supposed to go and see the snow...hope the mountain roads will be safe...we don't have snow chains yet either, but need to get them since we should be spending alot of time in the snow this winter!

I'll report back tomorrow on the snow/snow angel conditions!

Stay warm to most...and David...stay cool! lol

Sneaking off now, but not before leaving a box of warm choc. covered KK's....shhhhh...don't tell david! (He'll eat them all!)

Well I'm REALLY frustrated right now and could use some good thoughts. I darn near knocked someone out after they called me gay (no offense Rainband) and stupid and other things. I'm just really p***ed off right now.

Ok, I'll ease all the pain. I've brought more KK's. There are several chocolated covered ones for David. I'll put on a pot of Earl Grey for Miss Mary too.

rock, people can be so very cruel. ((Hugs)) to you my friend. Knocking them out is not the answer. People like that thrive on violance. I'm sending you good thoughts and gentle vibes.

Furry, stay safe and dry.

It was in the 60's here in the Burgh. A warm front is moving in for the weekend. All my plants got hit by the frost in the past few days.

Have a great night everyone.
PS: Mary, I've left the kettle of tea on the burner.
PSS: Dennis, where are you with that wonderful smelling Alligator wood?

David, you KNOW that Crouton got your
chocolate-covered KK's, eh? ;)

Jeremy, what Karan said is so. Sometimes, people
tend to think inside of a little matchbox, because
it's the only world that they know. Any kind
of different thinking makes them want to label
people. You be- Jeremy! Your thoughts and ideas
are ALL yours, and, if they don't like it, let them
sit in their little silly world and call people silly
names. If you hit someone, it only brings you
down to their level - if you can roll your eyes (and
stick out your tongue in the mirror, like I do,
often...), and tell yourself how GOOD you feel to
be your own person, you'll leave those kind of
folks in the dirt, behind you. Just a pat and
a little stuff that I've learned, my friend. ;)

Karan, please tell me that the tea you've left is Earl Grey??

(*breeze leaves a large pan of
Scottish shortbread...*)

breeze, I brew no other tea - Earl Grey. It's just not worth the effort of the steeping process. (sometimes I brew English Breakfas or Irish Breakfas tea - don't tell anyone OK???)
((Hugs)) to you my friend. Excellent advice

Jeremy, take the ladies advice. It is invaluable! No matter how upset you are and no matter what the lame brain says they are right. I know you already know that. Also know that I am sending extra prayers and comfort your way. This was another University student??? Wonder if they have heard about growing up???

Karan, as always you are a life saver(don't tell the doc I said that!). Uh, could you send some of that cooler weather our way please!!! 93º yesterday and more expected today!!!

KC, I have a sense of humor than many do not understand sometimes. I'm glad I made you laugh-I enjoy making others feel better and a laugh will always help that.

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!!

How about some 50° temps David. Since all the plants on my patio and in my yard got frost the other night, I'll be glad to send some cool air your way. We're supposed to have a heat wave this weekend - temps in the high 60's!!!!!!!!! The fall colors are beautiful this year and I really enjoy the crisp clean air. Apple cider, pumpkins, crisp apples and coffee with Bailey's!!!!!!!!!YUMMY

I'll put on a pot of coffee and brew some Earl Grey. Miss Mary, can you smell that tea?????

Have a great day everyone!!!

Nope this was a high school kid! Probably 16 or 17. He was and I believe is a total punk. If his parents can punish him it's fine by me. I believe in "eye for an eye", and maybe I was about to take that to the extreme.
