Interesting topic here. Let's see where can I start and finish.

Well, I'm 30 years old ... long hair in the back but losing it at the top (see pictures on website - not much has changed) and rather slim...5'7", about 130 lbs (I lost 8 pounds in one month - not on purpose either).

Pretty much, truthfully, this is basically the way I am in public as well as on these boards, but in person, I'm a little more quiet until actually I am comfortable around the people I'm around. I can strike up conversations easy unless it involves talking with an attractive female, when everything goes blank and I shy up. :o ...sucks, really.

I love talking weather, heavy music, singing, bowling (yes, I am between a 215-220 average bowler as well)

Pretty much, that's about all I can think of ATT.

Interesting topic, AZ. I read the start of this thread early this morning and wasn't sure if I would be interested in adding to it, then thought I would read others that were coming today and boy have there been quite a few. Good job everyone. :D

If you were to meet me you would see a shy young man, I have improved some but having Asperger's Syndrome. [there is a thread about the disorder in this forum] it comes along with the territory of the disorder, I have improved some, but will only to a point. I do not have the opportunity to be around those my age living in a retirement community, my parents and I moved to, in central Florida. I grew up in southeastern Massachusetts in June 2000. The community allows 19+ year olders to live with those 55+. I will be 26 in July. I am sure you would think I look about 17, as most people who first see me saw.

I am quite a bit underweight, having a fast metabolism I only weighing 100 to 105 pounds. I have to eat many smaller meals, rather than (two or) three a day because of a slow digestive system that I found out I had at the age of 13. I've heard that ones metabolism speeds up around the age of 30, hopefully this will be the case for me. I am about 5'11" tall with short brown hair and brown eyes.

I have never had even a sip of alcohol and never have smoked. The chances of starting at this age is very slim, of course. I am not one to go to public places for social events, aside from family functions.

I have been interested in meteorology for quite a few years and am content enough teaching myself things about the subject, mainly from website and with discussing anything about it here at Storm2K. As many of you know, I would like to be a meteorologist, but I find it difficult to attend college, I am not much of a writer or reader. I am much more interested in reference books than stories... a reason why I am not an avid movie fan. I have only seen 25 to 30 movies at the movie theatre in my nearly 26 years of life and only several more on video.

Like Garrett, I tend to get along better with those older than myself. I enjoy watching people my age rather than getting into a conversation with them face to face. I, too (like Garrett, also) enjoy current events/news and am interested in things involving television and radio stations, such as call letters and even station logos.

That's all I can think you should know about me for now. I am looking forward to reading more and interacting with this great group!

It would be an honor to pour ye a tankard of ale! ;)

But let us return to the original intent and premise upon which this thread was built (and sorry about the detour...I think there must be a DNA genome from Dr. Benjamin Franklin in me veins... )

If we were to meet you for the first time in person...what should we expect to see? Come one, come all...lines are open! Post NOW! :D

40 yrs-old, 6'3", 180 lbs, brown hair(a few premature grays included lol), blue eyes, clean-shaven...wears eyeglasses. Tried contacts for a while but they became WAY too much of a challenge. lol Has a great sense of humor and enjoys when it comes to comfortable clothes is a T-shirt (BTW...recently won a Cincinnati Skyline Chili story contest and have one of their's now in my collection + a Skyline CD of songs from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s! 8) Thanks to Miss Mary for telling me about that contest on the Skyline website! ) and blue jeans when I'm at home or out and just R&R'ing! More dressy of course when it comes to church and my part-time copy center job! :)

Guess you would say I'm an introvert type when among a group of people but am more talkative with one or two in my presence. :) The group thing is probably related to my Asperger Syndrome (high-functioning autism) and which is a social disorder...but over time I've worked hard on improving my social skills. :D I do stutter mildly at times and have had speech therapy for that, too. Unfortunately, my autism causes unmotivation but I manage with it as best I can. Have family and friends who love and accept me for who I am, though. :) And that's why I love wx message boards and being able to talk to others in this means...at least there's no stuttering when it comes to typing! I thoroughly enjoy being a part of this Storm2K Family and I truly appreciate all my Wxbuddies! :)

Eric

As we go along here, I easily find other things to add about myself. I, like Eric am a blue jeans or solid colored shorts and solid colored shirt kind of guy.

I repeat things people (my parents) say sometimes. I imitate the music on the cable new networks, namely the Fox News Channel.... I attribute that to my Asperger's Syndrome.

I also love wx message boards and being able to talk to others in this means. I suppose I stutter a bit, too. I also had some speech therapy over the year, in school. It sure is a joy to correspond with weather buddies about the weather and other issues here at Storm2K. Truly a family! :D

Tom, I even find myself having done mimicking of sounds or noises during my life...like in my grade-school years at home doing a motorcycle or an incessant loud-barking dog at night in the neighborhood...imitating one of those, too, etc.

My folks were probably ready to send me away!

I thought of a few more things as well.

I love being casual - dress up is fine, but I'm more comfortable in sweats at night and jeans during the day. I love walking around barefoot, which can be a problem in my backyard when you have a dog!  I am busty, but hey girls, nothing a little push-up bra couldn't fix! Actually, I was "mature" by about 12 and I did get alot of heckling. It did help getting into bars when I wasn't quite old enough though! :D My depression (or nerves) has blessed me with a nervous tic. When I'm totally relaxed, it's barely noticable. On the weekends I rarely wear makeup - I like to give my skin a rest. I love the sunshine and getting a good tan, but not like when I was younger when laying out in the sun meant getting as dark as you can with baby oil :o. I enjoy drinking socially. I rarely have anything to drink when I'm home, maybe a glass of wine or a beer or a 7 & 7 from time to time.

We do have a very interesting bunch here and it is a pleasure to get to know each and everyone of you!

I just thought of a couple more things ...

When I go out singing (like tonight) I love to play the part of rock star (going out in leather pants/leather jacket since it's cold enough) and enjoy the attention that I get when performing ... in fact, someone came up to me and asked if and when he got everything going to start his band, he's already asked me to be the lead singer.

I am a blue and black jeans kind of guy.

Here you have a 32yrs- 180lbs-5-11- Blk hair- and hazle eyes with a gotee shy kinda guy when you meet me. I do talk more after i get to know you. I am Married. I am originally from South Philly and my accent will prove that... I am very east going and believe it or not i can cook! Other then that thier isnt much else besides i like 70s and 80s tunes. Which by the way i was born on a sunday and the number one song that day for the week was In The Summer Time by Mango Jerry. Classic rock is my fav but i do like some dance tunes as well seeing how i like to go out once in a while and put some moves on the dance floor. Which by the way usually takes me a few Screwdrivers to get me out there. .. You know that shyness thing! Thats its.
