Cute Christmas Wrapping Paper Idea

#1 Postby Janice » Fri Oct 22, 2004 4:12 pm

I do this all the time and you can do it for birthdays too. You will need a digital camera. Download a nice large group of your pets colored pictures. Then copy them on nice white paper. Make several of these. They are darling to wrap presents in. Also, make wrapping paper with your children or vacation pictures too. This way, people will open presents wrapped in all your favorite pictures. All you need is a colored bow. If you set up your printing page right, you can get about 8 pictures on one sheet, close together. It may take more than one sheet to wrap a bigger present.

Great idea Janice..thanks! I can't stand flimsy wrapping paper.

My wife's dad mailed us a small package this week; he cut out a section of a brown paper bag from the supermarket as wrapping. I thought that was pretty clever.

Janice - that's a very good idea! However I can just hear my rather cheapskate husband - you're using up all the ink!!! And - don't use color!!!

Your idea reminded me what my nieces did every year with their mom years ago (they're in their 20s now) - they'd buy either brown shipping paper or white butcher type paper. Then they'd choose a stamp or sponge for that particular year. Stars, holly, xmas trees, one time their hand prints. Sometimes they used silver and gold paints or the traditional red and green.

I've had my kids decorate brown or white paper. I've also purcased brown gift bags from Orintal Trading Company for them to decorate (save on wrapping time)

For fun, copying on paper black and white, you could copy lots of household bills and wrap your husbands presents in them. haha...
