Great hurricane pics and radars thread

This pic of the 1995 season is a great one with those 4 storms and hurricanes at the same time in the atlantic.

This is the crazy hurricane Lenny in 1999 crazy because it came from the western caribbean sea to the east and the big thing about Lenny was about the power of it a cat 4 in late november.

I am trying to get more pics to show them but as you know my computer crashed in january and I lost many of those pics but what can I find I will share them in this thread.

If anyone has great hurricane pics to share you can post them here too. :D

I remember when there were four tropical storms and hurricane in the Atlantic, that was quite impressive. I watched The Weather Channel very often back then, (only had access to the internet at the computer lab at the college, in the town I grew up in).

I taped some of the Tropical Updates, back when Dennis Smith was on weekday afternoons. I believe I recorded over this particular tape at least once over the last 7 2/3 years.

I also remember Hurricane Lenny moving west to east in the Caribbean Sea, talk about a rare tropical cyclone, not only did it "move the wrong way" -- it was a very intense system, too.

Hurricane Floyd east of Florida

Another impressive pic of another big cane Floyd and Tom I have many pics but I have to find them slow because of my computer crash in january but this thread will be full of pics of many hurricanes I can assure you. :D

Hurricane Georges before making landfall in PR

Isobar this one didn't brush Puerto Rico but made landfall and crossed the island from east to west.Thankfully the eye is not so visible in that pic and that is because it weakened before it crossed the Leeward islands to a cat 2 cane from a strong cat 4 150 mph that it had east of Guadaloupe but anyway it caused extensive damage and 4 deaths here as it made landfall as a cat 3 115 mph as it gained some strengh just before the landfall.

At the time that image was taken, you must've known it was heading straight for you and would engulf the entire island. A tense situation, I'm sure. I remember reading your experience with Georges over at TWC Storm Stories thread. Quite remarkable!

Isobar this pic of Camille was the best I found but remember that at that time 1969 the quality of the sat pics was not so great as it is today.

I understand, Luis. Too bad you lost all the links to the tropical information you once had. I appreciate you posting the links for those of us who want to at least view them once. :)

I am looking forward to others you find. I may look too among reading and posting here and visiting other websites.

Mike, I would also love to see the three week loop of the "parade of hurricanes" in the Atlantic Basin in August 1995. It sounds very exciting. :D Thank you very much.

Radar of Georges making landfall in PR

Isobar yes I was prepared for Georges well before that pic that I posted. 5 days before the eventuall landfall I knew that it would be a threat to PR because of the low latitude track and bermuda high strong to the north to not let it go away from the caribbean.

But take a look at this radar loop of Georges as it makes landfall in PR and look at the eye from right to the left of the loop and you will see that it weakens(110 mph) before it makes landfall but it gains strengh after it departs the island in the mona channel and the mona island can be seen in the center of the eye.

This is the big Gilbert in 1988 when it had 888 mb pressure the lowest pressure in the atlantic so far in history.

Cyc, that loop of Georges is amazing! He wasted no time re-intensifying over the open water.

If my geography of PR is correct, San Juan is on the NE coast? Looks like you were right in the northern eye wall where the strongest winds were.
