Shannon, :)

If you lived in Houston...I can see David (vbhoutex) at his doorstep and Chloe playing tug of war w/ that box of KK's (even though it's empty)...knowing David's craving for those doughnuts!! LOL :D

LOL...Oh geez Eric...I never thought of that! lol...good thing David doesn't know our address...he may fly to Cali and come take her box! :)

Mary, the KK costume isn't costing us a dime...it was all about going to KK and taking a free hat and begging the GM for a name tag! Chloe's friends are dressing the same...The 4 KK girls...(just hoping the shirts stay buttoned once they've left the house! They want to add an adult theme to the costume...shakes head...

Brian and I dress as gothic vampires every year. We invested in some expensive costumes many years ago, and we are getting our $$ worth out of them...heck, with as much as we move around...no one even knows we're the same thing every year! lol

We picked up several wigs from a costume store majorly on sale last year, so the whole family can change appearance...this year, I'm going to be "burgandy, long with bangs....lol Last year I was short, and jet black...ewwww not a good look on me! Brian basically is Lestat, or Louis, from Interview With a Vampire...(my one chance at being married to Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt!) lol

Good luck Mary and be sure to let us know who you become!

Mary,

One year my daughter dressed as a tollbooth--cardboard box, spray paint and chicken wire for the "toll collection" mouth and plastic bag underneath to catch candy...

Anything you can do with a box and some spraypaint...

IF we give out goodies for Hallowe'en, I will dress up as a tall, thin, grumpy old man. But that's what I am anyway.

I work as a school nurse. I ALWAYS discuss good handwashing technique. This year with the shortage of the Flu vaccine I think I'm going to try and convince my Principal to let me dress up as a germ (any ideas?). I think it would be yet another way to "bring the message home".
Last year, in science lab (we're a magnet elementay school) the kids took samples of their hand pre and post handwashing. These samples were placed in a growing medium and incubated. The children could then actually see the difference handwashing makes. It really amazed everyone.

I don't do the dress up bit usually but they're having a Halloween party this Friday night here at school. So I don't know what I'll do. Sunday I'll be handing OUT the candy not GETTING it.
