Assuming the high clouds don't come in from this next storm system. I think Wednesday evening will be alright. Beyond that, looks like a wet Thursday possibly later in the day. But that will deal with later.

The sun is coming out this morning and I'm off to the reservoirs to see fall colors before work. I'll get you an update on that shortly.

Ok , well cant wait for this eclipse. If clouds clear out here in Southern California for it, ill see it. Otherwise a Strong storm system will kill the viewing. However Tornadoes are forecasted here, in SOuthern California with this system!!

Yeah, I know.. same here... hope we can get a peak of the eclipse at least...

It's alittle tough if that happens. We had that type of situation last year, only the first part of the eclipse was observed clearly. It maybe one of those nights unless we see many breaks in the clouds kind of like what we're seeing right now at dawn this morning. If this is mainly high level thin ice crystal type clouds, that would be better than say low to mid level clouds. Keep your fingers crossed that things are looking good tonight. That's basically my hope.

Tonight: Drizzle likely. Patchy fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 61. East southeast wind around 8 mph.

The eclipse will play out as fans watch the World Series on Wednesday night in St. Louis. As first reported by Space.com Friday, it will be the first eclipse in history to occur during a World Series game. Depending on the plans and whims of Fox television producers and camera operators, and the realities of the weather, shots of the eclipse could be broadcast to the largest audience ever to see one.

Now that's if skies are clear in St Louis, which might be unlikely. There is some hope for areas from Martinsburg, WV and Washington DC and Richmond on north and east for partly cloudy skies if not a period of clear conditions. In the case of you BG, Keep your fingers crossed!!! The camera is ready to go tonite!!!

Here is an interesting piece of information about the eclipse: There have been four total lunar eclipses during the past 18
months, but there won't be another one until March 3rd, 2007.

The four in the last 18 months averages out to one every 4½ months. The next one won't occur for 28.6 months/858 days.

Not gonna see it here...cloudy, and satellite shows NO sign of any clearing before tomorrow morning.

The big 'ole full moon is up, with feathery clouds
around it. But, thicker cloud cover is moving in
from the west. As much as I'd LOVE to see it,
there's no way I can sit up and watch, having a
patient scheduled for a sleep test at 8:30am,

PS: Oh yea, don't forget about the fog. Also, I saw the lunar eclipse on November 4, 2003 from start to finish.

Clear night for viewing the eclipse here in central Florida. Totality is about to ended about 10 minutes ago.

Awesome viewing in East Central Ohio. Very clear night. I sat outside at my friends house and watched the entire thing. Now I'm waiting for a solar eclipse.
