The GFS has been showing a huge dip across the Central and East coming late last week. So I think we can start putting belief into the Artic Outbreak.

THE NEXT SYSTEM TO KEEP AN EYE ON WILL BE LATE NEXT WEEK. THE GFS IS
SHOWING QUITE AN IMPRESSIVE SHOT OF COLD AIR MOVING THROUGH THE
PLAINS AS A DEEP UPPER LEVEL LOW DIGS INTO THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES.
THE ENSEMBLE MODELS SUPPORT THIS SOLUTION THOUGH THE ECMWF/CANADIAN
DO NOT...THUS CONFIDENCE IS NOT HIGH. STILL THE GFS DID A GOOD JOB
WITH THIS PAST SYSTEM AND HAVE THUS GONE A LITTLE BELOW GUIDANCE
NUMBERS.

I have posted about this threat for the OV elsewhere in this forum. But yeah I do believe some areas of the GL/OV may see their first flakes next weekend maybe.

Wow that freezing precip is very far south. Could we be seeing our first frost or even freeze along the gulf coast next week? Mother nature has alot of making up to do for being so warm in October, let's see what happens...
