I would vote guilty on first degree murder on both counts and death penalty on the penalty phase of the trial. I think the jury will come back with 2nd degree on Laci and 1st degree on Conner as a compromise. Hopefully they will come back with a verdict by Friday evening.

I don't think they will convict him based on the evidence. They haven't proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Scott is the one who did it, but we'll see what the jury does.

If it were me, based upon his strange behaviors before and after her "disappearance", I'd have him convicted.

I know that the evidence we heard about was shaky, but if I were a juror, I would have a HUGE problem even thinking about letting this guy walk if they had any inkling he was guilty. One OJ is enough.

I said "two counts" but is he actually indicted for two? I think he should be, for obvious reasons. I just wasn't sure if the second one was actually under consideration.

I think the jury will have a hard time finding him guilty of first degree; I also think that's why the judge/prosecution added the second degree option near the end of the trial. I think they will find him guilty of second degree.

I personally believe he's guilty as sin of murder one....but am hoping the jury at least delivers a guilty verdict of 2nd degree homicide. It won't bring back Lacy or that precious child, but at least will keep Scott from harming anyone else for a long time (hopefully).

There may be a problem with a clear verdict...one of the jurors is both an M.D. and an attorney, and as I understand things, he is the foreman.

This person will have much to say about evidence, both from a legal point of view AND a medical/forensic one. Ergo, I don't envision the jury coming out all that soon.

It would have seemed then that would have made that person inelligible for a murder trial jury.

Heard this morning on the news that the jurors have been sequestered at a hotel for the weekend...no family visits allowed, no newspaper/tabloid reading, no TV watching...hope they have a nice stack of books to read then, some knitting, video games, etc., so they won't go stir crazy!
