Dennis - congrats!!! Very, very proud of you. See, you were worried about going back at your age....mmmmm, you did it! And very well, I might add.

When I first saw this topic go up yesterday and read your post, I swear I had visions of an "old fart" (your descriptive words on another going back to school thread) taking a break on the ski slopes maybe. Can see the headlines now....Older bearded fellow, partying until dawn, on mid-term break.

But then I remembered you have a broken arm. You can't party on the slopes but maybe in the lodge? he he

Seriously, I know you're home nursing that bum arm (dang, that had to hurt!) so take it easy. Because you'll be busy again with studies/papers/tests.....

What we old-timers have on our side Shannon is wisdom. Hate to admit it but when you're over 30, going back to school is so different. Gone are the days you're paying more attention to the cute guy in the back of class, wondering if he's looking at you, instead you're taking notes and paying attention! Boy was I different type student in HS and then in college at age 30. Very different! I sat in the front row, took notes that others were wanting to copy and I never slept!!! LOL

But then again, Dennis is taking online classes. What do you think his secret is?

I couldn't agree more Miss Mary! When I started my MBA courses in 1994, I was 32 and had been in my field for a good 10 years. It made the classes so much easier to follow and understand because I had my work experience to relate to plus everyone else's.
