Congratulations Ed!!!!! :fantastic:
That's really awesome about reaching that 1100 "mile"stone. Whereabouts have you been riding this year? Do you have a favorite route? Are they mostly day trips or have you done a major "tour de Pennsylvania"?

I guess I must have missed Cappy's return to the PBS :(

I can't believe it is November already! That means less than 15 days of school left for me (I only have school mon, wed and fri) Finals Dec 17 and 20th. This semester is moving by way to fast! Next semester will be worse... last one at UWGB.

As for continuing my education with a second bachelors... I have been accepted into Northern IL, Western IL, South Alabama and off all places... University of Hawaii! (However, still waiting for acceptance from Madison, which just happens to be my first choice)

Happy Freitag (friday) everone

thanks Shannon :D

Ironically, my GPA is only a 2.687!

I'll probably have to wait a while for madison... I read something on the admissions page... I probably will not find out til Feb at the earliest. :(

second... south alabama (mobile... gulf coast yea!)

third ... was northern IL but the way things are falling out of place I doubt that I will be going there... It is now Western IL

*northern IL fell to fourth

*hawaii was my last option... it is extremely expensive to live out there (even though I get financial aid and the GI Bill... I'd probably still struggle to find money to get by.)

I have an application for IA State in my backpack, I'll fill that out over the weekend. Possibly Cen MICH also... I'll have to print off that application or send it over the internet.

But Shannon, if you go to Hawaii, you know we'll come visit you, and help subsidize your living expenses! :)

Good luck to you Shannon in your studies. :)

Speaking of which, I made the decision the other day that I am going to go back to college for the spring semester. :) :DX It is that time of my life where I really need to decide what to do with myself, so I need to get my rumpus into gear here and get the ball rolling. :)

I take my assessment tests on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 PM my time, so wish me luck everyone! :) :D

Good morning...and best wishes continuing for Josh and Pojo and others who are awaiting the next "open door" in your lives. Remember, it is not where you go, but what you do on the way, that is the most important in life. I wish you well.

A rainy morning here in Phoenix...something that race fans at Phoenix International Raceway are NOT happy about. One of the major NASCAR events here in town today...weather permitting. Lots of green and yellow on the radar...especialy in the SW part of town where they are located.

Cappy...so good to see you again. Stop by more often here than I do at TWC. There's a very relaxed atmosphere here...but when storms start brewin', arctic air starts sweepin', winds start howlin', and snow starts driftin', there's no warmer place from which to watch it all or, if you prefer, be part of it all!

Enjoy your day, each of you..all of you, and be safe wherever it may lead you.

You sure need that rain there in AZ though, Poopysky ... so that is a blessing in that regard. It's coming our way here too, and I am watching it closely on radar.

Thanks to all for the well wishes on my exams. I will be sure to keep everyone updated! :D

thanks... I have a nice decision to make within the next couple of months. I have to send an RSVP with my deposit by March 1st if I am going there. Ironically, Hawaii is by far the cheapest school to attend even though it is out of state tuition! (however, $900 plane ticket). Madison (in state) is still approx $500 more than Hawaii... go figure! I would get an nice amount of change from the military if I do attend Hawaii. However, I would have to arrange the PCS from General Mitchell to Hickam. Hawaii is one of the best schools in the nation for Tropical Meteorology!

I will certainly pass along my decision. All my friends want me to go to Hawaii.... spring break trip for them to visit me! :D :D

Here comes that cold air!

Excellent advice weathermom!!! That doen't mean don't think about the future and the ramifications of your decisions. It means don't deny yourself possibilities due to every single "what if" involved in the decisions. You are young and can enjoy the fruits of those decisions. With one of the best in the country accepting you and others as well you indeed have some tough yet wonderful decisions to make. I pray that it all works out as God would have as his way is always the best. Shannon, you still make me tired just thinking about how strongly you go about your life and everything in it. You certainly are a dynamo and one to be looked to as a role model.

Just a quick hello to everyone. " HELLO"

Yes Cappy and Capman are the same person. Well, actually, Cappy is the alter-ego of Capman.

Gosh everyone's here, even Crouton!!

Had a great weekend in NYC. We saw "Bombay Dreams", a really fun musical.

The weather was great with a high on Sunday near 70°!!

The NYC Marathon was run on Sunday. There were thousands of people running around in their shorts!

I don't understand why anyone would run 26 miles on purpose, though. Unless somebody was chasing you!

Gotta go. Be happy.. Cappy

LOL, Cappy - that remark about running was
what I was thinking when I saw it on tv....
uh...oh...I think my arteries are clogging, again...

Whew! Back to the lasagna and net surfing.

Ya better watch Crouton - that piggie has a
major craving for those chocolate-covered KKs!
You have to grab one and RUN! LOL!

Good to see you! Keep in touch, eh?

Nice to see you Cappy, stay a while. :)

A bit chilly over here in so Cal this evening. Rained a bit last night and looks like we may be getting some more later if this band of moisture from the north heads our way.

I have my college tests tomorrow afternoon so make sure to keep me in your thoughts and prayers, okies? :D

Okay, thank you, Jeremy...where I was confused by Ed's post was I had posted Dennis' broken arm topic because Ed hadn't heard about his accident...then I saw Ed's post asking about Capman and I thought he was talking if Dennis and Capman are the same person...that's where-in my confusion was. Thank you for the clarification. :)

Greetings, stove dwellers. It's a beautiful day in Central PA. The high today was only about 52°, but the sun was shining and it was great. It was the kind of a day that puts roses in your cheeks and a spring in your step.

Hey, POJO, if you go to Hawaii, maybe I'll see you there. The Mrs and I are planning a trip there next Summer. I can hardly wait. We hope to travel from PA to San Francisco first, and spend two days there before going on to Hawaii.

I started work on my wife's potting shed. Got the floor done so far. But now I only get to work on it on the weekends since it's dark when I get home from work.

I'm enjoying the gas fireplace we installed last year. No more chopping and hauling wood for me.

I hope everyone is doing well. It sure is fun to see some of the old TWC gang here. Thanks for the warm welcome, all.

Well, I have to go now and continue the fight for truth, justice, and push-up bras.

See ya! Cappy 8-)
