No spoilers....just TV alerts! Tonight is shaping up to be a busy TV viewing night, depending upon your personal tastes!

Fall Premieres:

7:30 (FOX) Malcolm in the Middle (new timeslot)
8:30 (FOX) Arrested Development (a show critics continually say we all should be watching)
9:00 (FOX) My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss

Then you have shows such as:
8:00 (NBC) American Dreams (my daughter's show)
9:00 (CBS) Dallas Reunion: Return to Southfork
9:00 (ABC) Desperate Housewives (a top 10 show since it premiered)

All times above are EST. I'm sure I missed many more but these shows will be test our VCR/DVR's tonight, in my household!

The one I can people missing will be Malcolm....we honestly thought the new timeslot of 7:30 in TV Guide was a mistake. It's not! I don't recall any other current show airing before 8 p.m. in years!

ABC bugs me! They're not going to show a repeat of DH next Saturday, so I'm going to have to choose between Dallas and Desperate Housewives. Grrrrr!

Yeah, I checked. ABC is not re-airing tonight's Desperate Housewives again next Saturday (as they have for several weeks now). They're showing Harry Potter - the nerve of them....

Anyways, I am taping Dallas on a VCR tape to keep and watch. But Jim is watching DH on another TV. We have a VCR hooked up there so we'll tape DH on that VCR. I can easily watch it later and mail it to you Shawn. Even at your work address, if you'd prefer.

So don't lose hope yet. Pick which one you want, I would have to say recopying the Dallas special would be complicated - we don't have these 2 VCR's hooked up together.....I'd watch Dallas if I were you and if all goes well, I'll have DH on tape for you.

But you're not alone, I read posts on a Dallas board. Members there are really bummed too - they were hoping DH would be a rerun tonight or re-aired again later this week.

It would be nice if ABC would do something, with Dallas on tonight.

WARNING:

ER spoiler for February sweeps:

Episode 11.16: Here & There
Airdate: February 24, 2005

We travel to Iraq to see what Dr. Gallant has been up to since his departure from the ER. We see the doctor at work in a military medical unit. What we'll see of Gallant in this episode is mostly him and a nurse and another doctor work on patients injured by the war (or scorpions). We meet one of Ray's band members, Bret, who's been jamming with Ray all night. Ray tells Neela that she should get to know Bret as she may end up liking him. A few times in the episode, we'll heard Neela and Gallant do voice-over comments about their current living, love, and work situations; hence, the title: here = Neela, there = Gallant. We'll see that Neela and Gallant have been writing to one another. Pratt, Lewis, Frank, Morris, and Malik also appear.

Yay, I'm glad to see those two are still close!

Thanks Shawn. I always liked Gallant too. But wouldn't it be neat if they showed him working with a doc named Doug Ross over there? Boy would that send ratings sky high!!! To see once bad boy doc, turned husband and father, doing his time in Iraq? All sweaty, dirty from working long shifts......I need a George fix!!! LOL

Do you have any Joey spoilers? I read a review on TV Guide a while back. It was admitted changes are in order if Joey will succeed. It was hinted that Joey's 5 NYC pals should be visiting by now. Not all 5 but a few would be a good idea. Now they think of this bright idea!!! Duh!!! I've heard rumors of a May sweeps Friends' cast reunion on Joey. But you know how rumors fly.

I'd take just Chandler at this point.

I've seen Joey spoilers but nothing's really "spoiled." Just a text preview of a couple of upcoming eps and nothing yet about the "Friends" stopping by.

Dang....well let me know if you hear anything. And also if they decide to can the sister - what really is needed to improve Joey, IMHO. Gina has brought that show down from the beginning.

ER.....

Wasn't sure if I should discuss ER here or on it's former thread.....wherever that is!!!

Did anyone recognize the Neurologist? Apparently he's from the early days of ER. I don't really remember him!!!

But I thought last night's show was good - Carter was on a lot and you gotta love Carter. He's been the same since the start - ethical! And thank God for that......I saw glimpses of Mark Greene in him last night.

Is the actor playing the med student interested in Abby, related to Rob Lowe? Just wondering....I think his name is Chad Lowe. *Correction....Chad Lowe played the Neurologist last night. Now I'm stumped on who this young intern/med student is!!!

Thoughts anyone.....does anyone besides Shawn and I still watch ER? :-)

Yeah, Chad Lowe ("George Henry") appeared for a handful of episodes a few years back, if I remember correctly, when Kellie Martin was also on as "Lucy Knight." He was a med student then and a terrible people person. His analytical and research skills were better, which is why Carter was surprised that George was actually a hands-on patient doctor now. And yes, Chad Lowe is Robe Lowe's brother. He's also Hilary Swank's ("Boys Don't Cry," "Million Dollar Baby") husband.

The ending with the dad wasn't much of a surprise for me and my Must-See-TV watching buddies. We'd already seen the gun in the previews and I saw George and Carter in the background of the scene where the gun was shown. We pretty much figured out early that the dad would do anything to help his daughter get a kidney that matched and since his other one had already been a match -- well, you know, two and two made four.

The Neela/Luka scene was very true-to-life. I'm surprised they haven't done that more often. Not the whole crush thing, of course. But just how physically close ER co-workers simply have to be sometimes. There's only so much room around a stretcher and when a respiratory tech is at the head of the bed, eyeing the vent, and a nurse and ER tech are at one side, listening to heart, lung, and bowel sounds, drawing trauma labs, and/or doing chest compressions, and a resident and attending are at the other side, giving orders and assessing wounds and placing chest tubes, things can get pretty crowded. We would usually end up hugging arms around each other to bring a cable or suction tube around to the correct side or while holding an injured limb or something. No room for homophobia, harassment paranoia, or lack of deodorant in those circumstances! :)

Oh so he's Hillary Swank's husband? Got it straight now...I did look up that season CL was on ER. I somewhat remember him now. I recall Carter being very annoyed with him. When he was implying Carter could do better than the ER last night, I instantly didn't like him. You could tell it was all about the money for his character. He wondered why Carter was still there. We knew why...money isn't an issue with Carter. But even if it was, I suspect a character like Carter that they've carefully cultivated over 11 seasons, would still be interested in saving lives. Not a big paycheck.

I'm glad they added work crushes to the storyline also. I've heard that's a big issue at hospitals. Then again, it's often the case at any large office, medical or not.

Yup, here's Chad and and his incredibly talented, beautiful wife Hilary.

*snicker* Yup, I can vouch for the whole "crush" thing. It definitely happens.
