Yes Coldfront77, "firehead" = "Coppertop".

And I need not mention the legendary exploits of Her Royal Poogleness, Lady Astor's Pet $#!+, Annabelle (she be a ho')...

Thought so. Again, much luck, Bill. I hope things improve, if at all possible.

I remember him from TWC too, Bill. Might as well tell you all about my family. :)

I have a mother who lives about 1/2 hour from me and my father passed away on Januay 6th of a heart attack  . I have a stepsister, a half brother, and a stepbrother who all live with my stepmother in central Florida. In my area, I have 8 cousins, an uncle, and an aunt; as well as my grandpa. In Northern California, I have an aunt. Out of state, and from west to east, I have: a grandpa in Arizona; an uncle, an aunt, and 7 cousins in Utah; an uncle, an aunt, and 5 cousins in Colorado; an aunt in Texas; an uncle in Georgia, an aunt in New York (state), and an aunt in Maine. Hope I got them all. And of course I'm the furthest west (except for maybe my grandpa).

Streetsoldier, You are among friends here. Do any of your relatives know your situation? There must be some way out of this. Sounds like anything would be better. You're in my prayers.

Bill - I remember Coppertop and assumed "Firehead" was him.

You've hinted that the home situation has become tenuous at best, but I didn't realize how bad it was. I know that something will work out for everyone in the situation, sooner or later. I just hope it's sooner for all of you!

Well, as most of you know I came to the USA from South Africa just under 3 years ago. I have a wonderful husband who is 33 and a son who will be 4 on the 20th May. It has been very hard not being in South Africa for my Mom and Dad. They have both been through a very tough time and have lost all there worldly possesions. I have a brother who is 5 years older than me, so we have never had a close relationship, and frankly do not get on with each other at all. It is not easy being a 10000 miles away from my parents, but God knows the situation, and I have left it in his hands.

I have a step son who is a little older than my son and of course the ever present ex-wife  Coming to the USA has been one of the best experinces I have ever had, the American people have taught me so much about love for a country and love for humanity. Hopefully one day I will be able to say the US is my home and I can be a part of this amazing nation. The move over here has certainly bonded my little family together in an amazing way and for that I am and will be eternally greatful.

I'm married 18 years. Met my husband while he was working at a Toyota dealership. I bought a little blue Corolla from him. :D I thought it was rather nervy of him to call me at work the next day to ask for a lunchdate. Almost said no. Oh how the little decisions we make can change the course of our lives!

Late '80s: tried for 3 years to have kids. Just kept having pathology specimens: 2 ectopics + 3 miscarriages. Finally with the help of medical technology, we had our son, Benjamin in March '90. Two years later we had Hillary. They've filled me with an amazing joy and love, and it's helped me to better comprehend how God feels about us. We are His children, and He loves us unconditionally!

I have a big, fat Greek family down in Tampa. My mom and step-dad are coming up here for Easter. Can't wait!

My two brothers and two sisters do know about the situation here, but none are in any capacity to help...my sister in NJ does take "firehead" every summer for a month or two, and buys him the clothes he doesn't get here (she also has a terminally ill son about "firehead's" age); both of my WI brothers are "cash-poor" (one is suffering from depression/acute anxiety attacks, and the other is still paying off gambling debts incurred by his "ex"), and my CA sister is in bad shape from the Enron collapse and is still trying to find work (she also lost her oldest son in a freak accident, and has yet to recover from it).

My family consists of me on my own in my apartment. Darla, my girlfriend, doesn't live here, but she is over a lot of the time. I live in the same town as my mom, stepdad, and two sisters: 10 and 13. My father is a bad word and we will not discuss him...

My grandparents are the 2 most awesome people in my life. They are my strength and it will be hard when I lose them... but both are around 60 and in good health for their age.

My gosh Bill, your post was like reading the book of Job. Have faith, because God is faithful, and He will restore you.

Well, in the absence of "maintenance" counseling to assist "firehead" and myself to live "around" my wife, I have had to revert to "survival" techniques I learned many years ago...keep silent as much as possible, let HER rant and rave all she wants, and then some...maintain my equanimity while she loses hers daily...refuse to PERMIT her to "push my buttons".

Sadly, "firehead" does not possess my patience, or quiet resolve, waiting for that "slip" that I can use in court. He does NOT need to be a "loose cannon", while I'm winning a slow, but potentially devastating (to her) "game of chess" with his mother.

I've said it all now, and perhaps much more than I should have...from here on, it's "watch, wait and strike"; a sniper's gambit, one with which I'm well acquainted.

I temporary live with my dad and step-mom (on the weekends) my step mom has a son Jason and 2 daughers Heidi and Ashley (Jason is 22, Heidi is 18, Ashley is 17). Ashley is the only one at home.

My mom and step-dad also welcome my presence over the weekend. I have a dorky little 17 year old brother (at home). My step-dad has a 20 year old son named Ricky and a 19 year old daugher named Shaina.
