Shawn - speaking from someone who knows how to put it together (past experience, eon ago), she just knew. It was the way they were both interacting with eachother at the press conference. In fact the wife hit rewind and watched it a few times. It was the way they looked at eachother that sealed it. Ah, but I knew it before the wife did!

Part 2 is tonight!

8 p.m. to 10 p.m., EST.

Yes that's correct, it airs at 8, not the usual 9-11 p.m. timeslot (to make way for CSI: NY at 10).

Just set your VCR's correctly!

Brent - LOL!!! Opting for a reality type show are ya? :-)

This movie is about as far from reality as possible. But then again, that might be why people are enjoying it!

Nope... actually, there's nothing on TV to watch tonight besides this movie. Big reality night is Thursday. I will watch this(at least the beginning), because I think it will be easily more exciting with the superstorm actually hitting, but if they spend as much time as they did Sunday on the power companies, I'm turning it off. :grr:

LOL, so far, it's playing in the background, and,
I'm on the net...... My Mom is the #1 Family
Meteorologist, in our gang, and, she's got me
catching Part 2, tonight. I honestly missed
Part 1, figuring that it was a "prime-time
take-off" from "Day After Tomorrow". ;)

Truly, one of the worst, hokiest movies I have ever seen. It is so bad I am almost enjoying it.

Storm2k'ers should write a script for a quality weather-event movie.

Am I the only one who enjoyed the movie... even a little?

The funniest thing was that the runway was completely clear. Even I was going... give me a break!

I was laughing too and there was one phrase I wanted to repeat in a post on this thread. And can I remember it now? NO! I got Laura hooked on the movie. She admitted it was cheesy though. Jim just looked at the two of us and went to bed. I said don't you want to see if Chicago survives? LOL The comment I thought was funny was muttered by the Oklahoma forecasters I think. I'll probably think of it tomorrow.

Nearly all the bad guys lost their lives. The electric company execs by the helicopter. That was perfect actually. Question - that accident occurred b/c the pilot was trying to land too fast, correct? I didn't think the wind was that strong yet. Then the good guy working for the evil electric co., turned hacker, got his. I still don't quite understand what he was all about. Maybe someone here can explain him! Did he intentionally hack the computer or did he inadvertently wreak havoc? Naw, I say he was out of frigging mind and did it on purpose. Then the punk boyfriend didn't make it out of the mall but he did redeem himself right before the end. I looked at Laura and see, he's going to heaven. Relax folks...I know it's just a movie. LOL

What else....the family in turmoil patched things up. Aww, cute. The baby was born okay and hey, the mom didn't name him Lorenzo - thank God!

Journalist Jo....she was something else wasn't she? She kept going for days and they never showed her dog tired - just pumped up. Okay then......

I still say when TV throws you a silly, inaccurate disaster movie based upon 2 wx systems colliding, you either have to say that's so unbelievable I won't watch. Or hey maybe I need a laugh this week. Or a hundred!

But we didn't have a cow....we had lots of debris but sorry, Twister fans, no cows.

And... we also had palm trees  in downtown Chicago and a very similar-looking gas station flying apart - kinda exactly like the one did during Charley in Charlotte Harbor!! http://www.mthurricane.com/Hurricane_Charley_081304_Windows_Media.wmv

Brian Dennehy was quitting his job because he evacuated a city and the storm didn't hit and sixty some people lost their lives. Unrealistic. Anyone that gets that far in the chain of command at the weather bureau would be ready for the consequences of their actions. The writers sure didn't give Dennehy anything to work with in this movie. Terrible script.
Best part of the movie "I'm going for a ride"!

Ya know I thought several of the severe wx scenes and the aftermath, looked familiar!!! Especially since this was a very active hurricane season, you'd think they'd go back a more time-wise for footage. LOL
