You are correct it is expensive. Insurance paid for some of mine.

Just got back from the eye Dr., we think maybe I wasn't used to having the correction for astigmatism. I am trying some regular contacts instead of the toric ones I had first. I think they are a bit better. Thanks guys!

I am not enjoying getting older!! ( but I suppose it beats the alternative!)

I have Toric lenses. As I recall, they did take some ggetting used to. All I know is I'm 20 years into 8 hours a day at a computer. In another 20 I'm not sure I'll still have my sight.

I think that insurance should cover it (if you have eye care coverage) In the long run, it would help them save money.

I'll bet that as time goes on, the price will level off or go down like every other new product or service (i.e. computers).

j- did you have trouble focusing on your feet?? I felt unsteady when I was walking, especially outside, on the grass. Couldnt tell if it was uneven or just my eyes.

mom....don't recall..all I know is every time I go, I try something different. Last time it was mono vision. I think you reach a point where you just plain can't satisfy all your vision needs.

Correct me if I'm wrong Linda, but laser correction only takes care of one condition..right? A guy at work had it and still wears readers like me so I thought..what's the point?

If he had cataracts then the surgery is for that only. Mine was solely to correct my vision. And it worked! No more glasses and now people will ride with me at night. :lol:

I'd ride with ya, and I'd even wear a seatbelt for the 1st time in my life! :)

My co-worker corrected his distance vision, still needs readers though...

I'd like to do it for motorcycle riding..no more dried up contacts!
