Do YOU know your State Capitals?

I love encountering someone else from KY and asking them how they pronounce the capital of KY -- do you say Louis-ville or Louie-ville? It's frightening how many of them actually pick one of those choices. :)

I thought Kentucky's capital was Frankfort? I guess I'm just wrong on this one?

That's the point of asking them that way and that why it's so scary when they answer one of those two choices. :wink:

I knew all 50 when I was about 5 years old, thanks to this puzzle my parents gave me :), and I think I could probably still get 47-48.

Actually, it's "Loovul." I hate it when non-locals, particularly sports announcers, go out of their way to pronounce it like the locals. Come on... they don't say New Yawk and Bahsten.
