At link above there are all the tremors and strong quakes registered but the one you mentioned is not at the list.Maybe it was a little jolt that you felt.

YES?a jolt,as we got time to time.I know this one was felt in Dominica,Martinica.Don't know for the other islands..
At the time i give you this info,we just get an other reply!!!.So i think it was a serious earthquake, and our local geological survey is working to determine the epicenter of this event 0
But God even when you have felt a lot of earthquake(the one of 1975 or 1985) it is distressing...
Keep you inform

Hey guys,

We felt it in Sint Maarten. My mother in law and I were sitting in my living room and felt the jolt and an aftershock. First at 7:41 local time. I immediately looked it up on USGS but it was not posted.
6.0 !!! How far was the epicenter from SXM?

Didn't feel anything here. I hope no tsunamis are headed our way!

(Then again, we would have had them already because they travel very quickly)

Hey Dog,

The earthquake does not seem to be on that map you posted. Should be a red square near Guadaloupe.

Felt the rumble and saw the furniture shake.

These are preliminary magnitude estimates from different sources. There is usually some initial disagreement about the magnitude of a shock during the first 24 hours or so.
