Jeb, we do appreciate the prayers for a break! We need it! It appears at this point that your Mom's area is getting some rain, but nothing like what we are experiencing in SE TX. And another round is happening this am, but this time on the Northwest side of the Houston metro area with at least one rotating cell moving into far NW Harris county. Looks like Southerngale is getting ready to have some strong tstorms too.

Well for the time being things in the immediate Houston area seem to have quieted considerably. However, areas directly to our North are not so fortunate and may be getting into flooding situations soon since the whole area is somewhat saturated. Hopefully this will pull on out, but right now indications are that it will be hanging around through mid afternoon tomorrow when they expect we may have a round of severe weather also. Just what we need!!!!NOT!!!!!

We've had alot of rain in the last 24 hours on top of already flooding conditions here in the Austin area.
As long as I have been in Texas, this is the first time I have seen entire school districts closing down because of flooding. It's gotten so bad that they are starting to shut the floodgates on the highland lake dams along the Colorado River because flooding downriver is so bad. Now the lakes and creeks along the river are flooding...
And they are predicting storms for tonight.
Wednesday and Thursday are supposed to be clear, but getting cold...

Up to 3.17" so far today at the house and it is still raining with radar showing one last cell coming in from the SW. I can not imagine it will get worse tomorrow evening, but that is what is predicted. Most areas of metro Houston are experieincing some sort of flooding whether it be from bayous out of their banks or minor street flooding. We really can't take any more of this and come out without some major flooding all over the Houston metro area.
