Where is Tucson?

#1 Postby Arizwx » Tue Apr 15, 2003 8:35 am

This morning,I was updating my profile..and I decided to update the Wx Code City for my CWA.I selected the 'Select City' link,as instructed.I clicked on 'T'.Hundreds of cities and towns and Villages worldwide were listed. Now,I thought Tuba City is there,as is Truth-Or-Consequnces,NM.I have been to both, most forgettable.I looked for Tucson,AZ.A city of 534,000 with a 978,000 Metro and growing by leaps and bounds.20th largest Metro in the Nation.Nada.Sure..Tuba City&Tahoe City,CA were listed! No dice with Tucson. Now,quite often ppl (Like WxRisk's DT)do not spell it correctly. They incorrectly spell it 'Tuscon'.No dice again.I thought possibly Oro Valley,AZ would be listed..we are a Town of approx 36,000 and growing rapidly.I clicked on 'O'.
I checked,to no avail. Now folks..this is just strange.I checked and rechecked.Nada.Nixed.No existo!Nyet.Neah.Nein.Hmmmmmm. :grrr:
Any thoughts Marshall? :?:
I'm baffled. :o
Thx.

I looked as well to no avail. That doesn't make sence to me either. I'll look into it and see what I can do to get it fixed :-)

Quick update...Davis Monthan AFB is listed. You might want to try that one until I can see if there's a code for Tucson. :-)

If you type TUS into the city code box in your profile it will work. I just tried it on my profile. I will try and get it added to the list sometime today! Sorry for the problem :-)

I added Tucson to the select list so that at least is fixed! :-) I also looked to see if there was a code for Oro Valley. No luck there. :-( We use the CNN weather site for the feed at the bottom of the page so we're limited to the location that they support.

DJ, if you'll go outside with a big roll of tin foil and run around maybe we can picj you up on the radar! :D

I just went to a new set of woods, 1-3-5. Graphite shafts for the first time. I've fallen in love with the 5, getting better with the 3, but the driver may end up as a rose bush stake before long :-) I had an old driver that I hit pretty well but US Airways took care of that for me :-( I had a chance to play TPC Sawgrass and jumped on the opportunity. Unfortunately, on the tri back they turned my driver into an off-set one. They paid for the damage but the club is no longer made. Still looking for one on the internet to replace it. Btw I made a par on 17 at Sawgrass both times! WoooooHooooo That alone was worth the loss of my driver :-)
