Holy Cow! Does anyone else see that line to the west of Houston?? Ill let you know if my house is still here after that lines move through...

Loop it ... below ... squall line capable of producing 70 MPH winds and very large hail (some cells according to doppler capable of producing 2.75" diameter hail) ...

Any guesses on an ETA for Galveston? I have a friend who's working tonight and they're in nothing more than a glorified tent. They don't have access to radio or tv so I'm trying to update her as much as I can.

It's looking pretty rough for a while. Radar indicates 70 mph winds or higher and hail tennis ball to baseball sized. Hail that large has been reported with these storms today.

Yeah I see it, and I zoomed in on the part coming near you in storm track of course. Heres a radar image of it, the blue shading is my area of concern for rotation that i outlined.

Perhaps a comma head developing meaning tornadic potential. Don't be surprised if that indeed does happen. That's the reason for the tornado watch extension until later Wednesday morning for southeast Texas.

I'm definitely concerned for wind damage also with gusts over 70 mph, possibly over hurricane force.

Meanwhile severe weather is possible near Jackson, Mississippi in the next few hours with hail, wind, and possible tornadoes.

That is unbelievable. I have been watching it all night. get Ready Houston, Beaumont, Lake Charles, Alexandria after midnight and then Baton Rouge to New Orleans up to Jackson.

BTW, SG ... that small cell west of Beaumont has an associated MESO! ...

Just issued a PDS tornado watch for eastern central Louisiana and extending into central Mississippi. Jackson keep an eye on this dangerous line of storms. Could see a strong tornado or two with this.

last images showed the line breaking part somewhat, and getting weaker in the middle, however the southern part still maintaining strength and heading

That's a bow segment. The northern end of the bow segment, however, will be capable of producing a tornado or two as rotation commences in the next 30 minutes or so ...

Not surprised at all given all the parameters that are coming together as outlined on my "This is just PLAIN NASTY!" thread ...
