My maternal grandmother's homemade dressing...she's now in her 80s and has a house near her daughters in Ohio. But those were sure great times when all my cousins, aunts and uncles and my folks, sister and I gathered at her house when she lived in Indiana (we went to her house every other year for either Thanksgiving or Christmas) and that homemade dressing really stands out in my memory.
I have a great aunt (on my Dad's side of the family) and when we gathered at his folks' house in Indiana she was always known for her lime jello salad that had cool whip, coconut and marshmallows
in it.

in it.

I grew up on this dessert...and the coconut gave it some body so to say.

Alicia, how did your dislike for Jell-O originate?

Tomato Shrimp Aspic.......my mother made this dish for years, ever since I can remember, now I carry on the tradition, it's WONDERFUL, it complements the turkey like you wouldn't believe. It's so good (not to brag) but The Weather Channel featured it one year, I believe 3 years ago on their site!
